Lawrence And Cotillard Steal The Spotlight At The 2013 CCA

Jennifer Lawrence

The Broadcast Television Journalists Association’s third annual Critics’ Choice Awards (CCA) were held Monday night, June 10th, in Beverly Hills, California. Before the award ceremony began, celebrities packed the red carpet to show off some stunning, fashion-forward gowns. Among the brightest of starlets striking a pose were seasoned red carpet pros, Jennifer Lawrence and Marion Cotillard.

Jennifer Lawrence looked like a Greek goddess as she walked down the red carpet in her trailing, black Prabal Gurung dress. The bodice of the gown shows some skin with a sheer cutout over Lawrence's chest, while the tight leather neckline adds a degree of intrigue and sophistication to the gown. The bottom of the dress elegantly drapes around Lawrence's hips, accentuating her beautiful hourglass figure that is cinched at the waist with a thick, metal belt. The Hunger Games actress completed her outfit with a studded, metallic Judith Leiber clutch and a matching pair of crystal studded suede Michael Kors pumps. It's a good thing that Lawrence pulled off the look so successfully because she spent a lot of extra time in front of the cameras when she got up on stage to accept four of the five Critics' Choice Awards that she was nominated in the Hunger Game and Silver Lining Playbook.

There is only one word to describe French actress, Marion Cotillard, at the 2013 Critics' Choice Awards: adorable. The starlet took to the red carpet in a truly unique, floral Zuhair Murad mid-calf gown from the Fall Couture Collection. Cotillard completed the look with simple jewelry by Chopard, tan Jimmy Choo heels, and a matching Louboutin clutch. She had her hair styled in a pixie with minimal make-up, which worked to maintain the focus on her distinct dress. The international star was nominated for the Best Actress award for her role in Rust and Bone, facing off against actresses, such as Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Emmanuelle Riva, Naomi Watts, and Quvenzhané Wallis. Unfortunately, she lost to Lawrence, but this definitely isn't the last that we will be seeing of this superstar.
