Jessica Szohr hit the red carpet Wednesday in L.A. for the premiere of her upcoming film, The Internship (set to be released June 7th) alongside co-star Rose Byrne. Previously known for her role as indie Brooklyn native Vanessa on the hit show Gossip Girl, Jessica went from downtown hipster to uptown glamorous for her big debut.
The young star donned a Haute Hippie flapper-style frock Wednesday evening at the film's premiere. Channeling the roaring 20s, the black dress featured intricate beading, fringe, and chain accents. She accessorized with black Chanel pumps and silver earrings. Her simple touches allowed the focus to remain on her sparkling dress.
To match her sultry ensemble, Jessica's makeup artist Mai Quynh went with a dark smoky eye that showed off the star's gorgeous eyes. She balanced the dramatic effect with a soft, nude lip. Jessica's usual long, tousled hair was softly curled and parted on the side in the style of the famous Gatsby era.
Szohr has previously been quoted stating, "My personal style is kind of tomboy boho-chic...sort of funky but simple" and at Wednesday's premiere, she didn't completely stray from her fashion sense. Jessica stayed true to her well-known indie fashion sense by flaunting a very trendy ombre hair color with golden brown streaks.
