On September 12, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (the former Kate Middleton) made her first formal public appearance with her husband, Prince William at the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards in London in a floor length pale gold sequin evening gown by one of her favorite designers, Jenny Packham.
On a side note, if you love the gown as much as I do- it can be yours for about $240 from Debenhams department store in the United Kingdom. Not a bad price for a dress fit for a princess, I think!
Duchess Kate looked simply smashing in her gown, accompanied by matching strappy pumps, long, loose flowing hair that didn't take too much attention from her sparkling gown, and of course, her tuxedo-clad royal husband.
Kate's gown was very flattering to her very tall, slim figure and showed that she lost most of, if not all, of her pregnancy weight after having baby Prince George. (Sources close to the Duchess claim that she is breastfeeding but NOT dieting, and that in itself is a pretty decent calorie burner.)
As always, the Duchess carried herself with poise, grace, elegance, and of course- an amazing outfit. I have yet to hear of her making any serious style mistakes, now that I think about it! Numerous celebrities (and normal citizens at that, as many of the things Kate Middleton is seen wearing are not too high-end and of a more modest price range than one would usually expect from a celebrity, much less royalty) could learn a thing or two from her.
As always, you look spectacular, your highness!
